Anima-2.9B is a community layer expansion of CircleStone Labs' Anima that grows the 28-layer 2B DiT to 40 layers (~2.9B params), with a dedicated ComfyUI loader node.

It grows the original 28-layer, 2B architecture to 40 layers (roughly 2.9B parameters) by deep-copying neighboring layers with zeroed output projections, so the expanded model starts functionally identical to the Anima base. It is trained on an additional 1.7M anime and illustration samples with a July 2026 knowledge cutoff and loads through a dedicated ComfyUI loader node.
