Seedream 5.0 Flash Lands in ComfyUI Partner Nodes

Seedream 5.0 now reaches ComfyUI as three API tiers: Pro for maximum quality, Lite for the widest resolution range, and Flash for fast, low-cost runs. Flash is a model option inside the existing ByteDance Seedream 4.5 & 5.0 node, so it needs no new node pack and no local weights.

What the node exposes

Selecting seedream 5.0 flash swaps the node's parameter set. Flash generation uses the same prompt field as the rest of the family and accepts reference images for image-to-image work.

• Up to 10 reference images per run.
• Size presets at 1K, 1.5K and 2K, covering 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, 2:3, 3:2 and 21:9, plus a Custom option with manual width and height.
• 4514 px per side for custom sizes, under a 4.62 MP cap on the output area, which is the same limit applied to Seedream 5.0 Pro.
• Seed and watermark controls only: Flash has no thinking toggle and no prompt_optimization fast mode, and it produces one image per run rather than a batch.

The same merge raised Seedream 5.0 Pro's area limit to 4.62 MP and added Flash to the ByteDance Seedream 5.0 Layer Separation node. Flash is reachable from the ByteDance image nodes on ComfyUI builds that carry PR #16522.

Official templates

Two templates ship with the update (workflow_templates #1288). Both wire a single ByteDance Seedream node into SaveImageAdvanced and need ComfyUI 0.37.3 or newer, the version tagged on September 25, 2026:

Availability

Seedream 5.0 Flash runs on ByteDance's hosted infrastructure through ComfyUI's partner node system, alongside the existing Pro and Lite tiers. No weights are published for any Seedream 5.0 variant, so the nodes require signing in with a comfy.org account and billing applies to each generated image.
