Comfy H3 Sync Sound Challenge: Win an RTX 5090

Comfy and MiniMax have teamed up for the Comfy H3 Sync Sound Community Challenge, a two-week contest running August 20 through September 1 with RTX 5090 and RTX 5060 Ti prizes. The brief: build a short piece, up to 90 seconds, where sound and motion are inseparable, with the audio coming out of the same MiniMax H3 pass as the video.

The Challenge

Make something where the audio and visuals are generated together by H3: dialogue, foley, ambient sound, or a beat driving the cut. Feeding in a reference audio clip to steer the generation is fair game, but stitching a separately-made track onto the video outside of H3 is not allowed.

Timeline

• August 20 — challenge launches along with the #minimax-h3 challenge channel on the Comfy Discord
• September 1, 9:00 pm PT — submission deadline
• September 2 — Comfy livestream with guest judges giving live feedback on the top 10 submissions

How to Enter

Each submission needs the final video plus the ComfyUI workflow JSON so the judges can see how it was built. Submit through the submission form, post your video on the Reddit megathread, and optionally share it with #ComfyH3 on socials. A major portion of the piece must be built in ComfyUI using H3; everything else is fair game.

The judging panel combines creative technologists from Comfy and MiniMax with special guest judges from the community. Submissions must be lawful and SFW, and must not contain unlicensed IP or likenesses.

Running H3 for the Challenge
