Lightricks Releases Official LTX-2.3 Foley V2A LoRA for Sound Effects

news

Lightricks releases an official LTX-2.3 Foley V2A LoRA for realistic, visually synchronized sound effects — footsteps, impacts, typing, and environmental audio.

Lightricks has released an official LTX-2.3 Foley V2A LoRA (HuggingFace) that generates realistic, visually synchronized sound effects for LTX-2.3 generated videos — footsteps, hammer strikes, typing clicks, engine revs, and more — without background music.

Overview

The LTX-2.3-22b-LoRA-Foley-V2A is an official LoRA adapter from Lightricks for their LTX-2.3 audio-video foundation model. While LTX-2.3 natively generates video with accompanying audio, it often produces background music or rhythmic soundtracks. This Foley LoRA redirects the model toward generating real-world sound effects that precisely match the on-screen action.

Named after the traditional filmmaking technique of recording custom sound effects in sync with visual action, the model excels at producing diegetic audio — sounds that belong to the scene rather than a musical score.

Example Sounds

The model comes with six demonstration videos showing its range:

SceneSound Description
Blacksmith hammeringHeavy metallic clangs, spark spits, forge-room ambience
Laptop keyboard typingRapid light clicks, muted key taps, aluminum palm rest contact

Boardwalk footstepsHollow wooden footfalls, plank creaks, sole scuffs
Wet snow walkingSnow compression, slush squelches, ice-crust crunches
Motorcycles on mountain roadEngine revs, tire hiss, wind rushing

Using the Model

The LoRA is available on HuggingFace as a gated model (requires accepting the LTX-2 Community License). The checkpoint file is:

ltx-2.3-22b-lora-foley-v2a-1.0.safetensors

It loads on top of the standard LTX-2.3 22B base model. For ComfyUI users, the LoRA can be loaded through Lightricks' official ComfyUI-LTXVideo wrapper nodes, which support LoRA adapters for the LTX pipeline.

To use the Foley LoRA, first accept the license on the HuggingFace page, then download with the HF CLI: ```bash hf download Lightricks/LTX-2.3-22b-LoRA-Foley-V2A --local-dir ComfyUI/models/loras ```

Official vs. Community

This release follows a community-made LTX-2.3 Foley LoRA by FuzzPuppy from late June. The official Lightricks version is built directly by the LTX team, using the same architecture as other LTX 22B LoRAs, and comes with gated licensing tied to the LTX-2 Community License.
